Depending on where you are flying from, and what you plan to do before or after your visit to Florence, there are several alternative airports to consider.

ROME Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport, code FCO, is a great option if you plan to take an ocean cruise before or after the wedding. From Rome you can take the fast train (90 minutes) for about $120, or the slow train (3.5 hours) up to Florence. There are also a few other things to see in Rome while you are there…

PISA Galileo Galilei International Airport, code PSA provides a bus shuttle ($8) to Florence that takes about an hour.

VENICE Venice Marco Polo Airport, code VCE, is another great option to fly into if you want to book a cruise before or after the wedding. Venice to Florence is only a couple hours by train, but a train change is required in Bologna.
